How do you get your mojo back?
It has been about 2 - 2 & a hald months since I last scrapped & I think I'm stuck for one or 2 reasons. 1) The layout I did was really bad - even mum had a look & said it couldn't be salvaged & 2) I have a thing about trying to be "perfect".
Any ideas how I get around it & get my mojo back?

Re: How do you get your mojo back?
Ah - that is the million dollar question. I think we all go through a stage where we loose our mojo and then when you least expect it, bang - back it comes. I would just keep looking at galleries on the computer and magazines and just 'play'. I found that using some of the challenges as a start helped me - probably because it takes some of the thought out of what you are going to do. Also, I am sure that your LO was just fine and if it wasn't I am sure that it can be tweaked. Some of what I consider my best LOs have been the result of huge mistakes. The extra bit of ribbon or paint or journal spot (or whatever) to cover the mistake I made is sometimes what makes the LO truly pop. Don't give up on yourself - not every LO will be 'perfect', but you can sure have fun trying. Go on....get out your papers and have a play and see what you come up with and most of all - Have fun!!!

Re: How do you get your mojo back?
just get out your scrap stuff, pick out a fave photo and go for it.... that's what i do when I have lost it a bit.... don't do it for a challenge or for anything particular just do it for YOU....
Re: How do you get your mojo back?
Aura, I'm not suprised you have lost your mojo if even your parents said you last layout couldn't be salvage! That would of given me a major dent in my ego!!! I believe though, any layout that has been created with time, effort, and love can't be bad! How can any art be judged anyway ifykwim? I say pick a lovely photo and try something different! Like my random challenge for instance! lol! Seriously, get back on that horse and don't hesitate in getting inspiration from others' techniques and styles.

Re: How do you get your mojo back?
Aura, I lost my mojo not long ago, then I found this wonderful forum with fantastic challenges, & thought"why not give them ago" I've had great fun doing them, some may not be perfect, but I've got my mojo back, & my layouts are coming together much more quickly.
Re: How do you get your mojo back?
Thanks girls I'm going to take a look at the gallery etc & try what you all said. I'm feeling a little more hopeful now that you've all helped!
