Week 1: Move it!! Move it!!

Our first week of Make your Mojo Flow challenges, and we are going to tackle a move it, move it challenge. A challenged based on using that stash!!

We all have plenty of stuff in our stash but always want more, so these challenge are going to help clean the stash out and use things we thought we would use and never have, so we can buy more!!

So... first up, i (and i'm sure a lot of others) have an overflowing box of pp scraps!! I love pp and have more then i will ever get thru, but have a habit of buy new papers all the time and instead of using the ever increasing box of scraps, i just grab out a new piece, but not this month!! This month i challenge you all, and myself to use your scrap pp!! I intend to use it on every challenge that i can!! What i want you to do, is take a pic of the scrap papers before you start creating, and post a pic in this thread, so we can see the before and after shots of what you have used!! You can use it for anything you want, layouts, cards, otp's!! It is up to you, but lets try and eliminate the scraps!!

This challenge is just what I need!!!

I have a scraps file that has lots and lots of goodies tucked away in it and they don't get a look in often enough! (I usually reach for the new stuff and start cutting that up.) Perhaps I will challenge myself to scrap one of our monthly challenges using only scraps!!!
Who's with me on this one???

I did this a few months ago as my pizza box/scraps box was falling apart it was so full. I don't have much left, but I will take a pic and post and see what I can use up!

I don't have many scraps as I've only just got into this amazing craft but I'll see what I can do.

Great idea! I actually do this regularly - my LO "oOo" was made by using pp scraps only! I try to use as much of my scraps as I can! I have all my scraps colour co-ordinated in a filing system. I haven't got heaps, but enough to do this! I love using up my scraps to the max! 8)

OMG Chantal that is just way too organised. I have all my stuff mixed in together, bling with flowers with chipboard with buttons with everything.I think I need to take a leaf out of your book.

I have my scraps filed the same way as you Chantal, in an old accordian file, by colour.
I scrapped a LO last night and used some scraps, but also used some old pps that were getting neglected. I didn't take any before pics though, so am going to have a sift through my scraps today and see if I can do a whole LO with them.

LOL! I have a mature relationship with my Dymo electronic labeller! I've got a shade of OCD... You should see my food pantry! Whenever someone happens to look inside it (a guest) they spin out how neat it is! LOL! They want to take a photo of it! ROTFL!!! DH sometimes puts a can of baked beans crooked to see how long it stays like that... and it's not long!!! Have you ever seen the movie with Julia Roberts "Sleeping with the Enemy"? Well, I'm not Julia, I'm the enemy - the psycho (don't remember his name... he's a psycho.) LMAO!!!

I will definately do one of the monthly challenges with my scraps! I'll take a pic of my scraps! I also used some scraps in my "Adorable" LO!

That's one of my New Years resolution to organise my scrap stash not sure which year I picked though

Ok, I'll be brave and post my collection of PP scraps... I am soooo glad we didn't do this a few months ago!

OMG - I dont know if I am prepared to take a photo of my scraps....I keep every piece of paper never used...LOL. I will see what I can do though.

LOL, if i spread my scraps out like Julie did, mine would cover my whole lounge room floor!!! HAHAHAHA!! It is now my mission to see how much i can use!! I will take a pic before i start to show you all just how much i have!!

HAve to see if I have more scrap I just used up my xmas scraps to make christmas day double layout I just finished.

Mine would probably cover the floor too! (Like Anthea, I keep EVERY bit of paper, even if it's only a few cms big!) Unfortunately, as mine is already sorted and filed by colour though I am NOT prepared to tip it all out for you...sorry! (And a pic of my accordian file isn't very exciting.) I did take a pic of the pile of scraps I pulled out tonight for the LO I have been working on, so will post that in here with the finished LO pic tomorrow.

I too always kept every inch of scraps... last year I needed to declutter, so I donated it to my sons school to use for craft. They loved it and I felt sooooo much better

Now I have a zip bag that I put small bits in and when full will go to DD's Preschool!

Well I did it - completed a whole LO using ONLY scraps! (I didn't even use a full sheet of cardstock!!!) I didn't only use scraps though, I also dragged some old stuff out of my stash to use them up - eyelets, rub-ons, felt scraps...it was great fun using them up!

It's great Sue!!! You'd never know that they were "leftovers" and "old stuff" - IT ROCKS!!!

...and I've already put them to good use using only these scraps (with the exception of the cardstock base) on my latest layout, "The Dinosaur Stomp"!

The Dinosaur cartoon drawing is even on one of the scraps! It's on the reverse side! I'll be using more in the next challenge! To infinity and BEYOND!

You Girls Rock! This those LO are fantastic!. I have heaps of scraps too and not I don't have them all organised but I wouldn't dare take a photo of it all as I would never get it cleaned up again. I have way too many and it is organised like some of you but I'm working on it. I will take a photo of scraps I use on a LO though.
