Things you need to know...

Things you need to know before participating in a Speed Scrap:

* Starting on the hour, I will post your first instruction, followed by 1 more step every ten minutes throughout the hour!
* At the end of the first hour I will post the last instruction and then you'll have 1 additional hour to finish and post your LOs.

* A 15 minute grace period will be allowed for gallery posting purposes, as the gallery may slow right down if everybody is trying to upload at the same time.

Important Information for when you take part in a Speed Scrap:

- Each step or instruction should be pretty self explanatory. Don’t over analyse each instruction……..you can interpret the steps creatively whilst staying within the instruction guidelines. We want you to have fun with the Speed Scrap, be as creative as you like, we won't yell at you or disqualify you.

- You are allowed to use a template if you would like to.

- Remember to BREATHE, read the instructions carefully, then play. This time is supposed to be fun not a stress factor.

- The chat room will be open during the Speed Scrap. Some people like to chat while they are working, others like to just post stuff in the forum post or not post at all. Whatever you are happy doing is OK!

- Sign in for our first Speed Scrap on Wednesday Nov 25 at 8pm (QLD time)

I have never done a speed scrap, so this sounds quite exciting! (And very opposite my usual "fiddle & fluff" style...)

LOVE IT!!!!

I have never speed scraped with instructions at intervals... so looking forward to it!!!

Here are some hints on resources you will need for tomorrow nights speed scrap...

You will need 2 photos, bug punches and/or hand/feet imprints, leaves / trees / branches made of chipboard or paper...2 to 3 different coloured patterned paper, and lastly black cardstock

Can hardly wait!!!

Oh crap, that is sounding scary!! We decided to take a trip to my parents farm for the night tonight and i'm not sure what time we will head home tomorrow, but hopefully it is early enough to get organised for this!!

Unfortunately, the kids have a concert that finishes right in the middle of the first hour and I have work on Thursday so can't stay up too late. If it had been earlier, then I probably would have been in.

REALLY sorry if this sounds dense But I was just wondering what "bug punches" or "hand/feet imprints" are - could I use "bug" chippy shapes instead?

Hi, Just wondering if its OK to do the speed scrap without signing up (I'm not sure if my 10 month old is going to 'let' me scrap tonight or not)? I'd hate to commit to it then not be able to join in after all.... (sigh)

Put your name down, that way if you do get to participate you are signed up, and if you don't it doesn't matter!!

I may not be able to do this tonight, as we have an inspection here tomorrow and have to make sure everything is right for that! I will be here if I can!

OK, fingers crossed. I've got the kids watching a movie and off to bed when its finished) and the little one has skipped her afternoon sleep so she should be all tuckered out. But then you know the saying about best laid plans and all that

Ouuu...I have another question....

Can I use really dark brown cardstock instead of black????? It just goes better with my photos.

Oh, i think it has to be black or white only!!

Oh wow, I wonder what it is then about the black???? I've never done this speed scrapping thing before...its intriguing.

I have my butterfly punch ready - I think that's what she means by bug punches. Not sure about the imprints?
