What's your ideal holiday? Relaxing? adventure? Heat? Cold? Do you take your scrap supplies with you!?

Make sure you pack them for our holiday cyber crop! Who's excited?!

The funny thing with holidays is that I have never actually enjoyed them. I have never been on a holiday where I have felt relaxed, where I have done things that I wanted to do. All my holidays end up a nightmare and I need a holiday when I return from them to just unwind! Maybe one day without the kids I will be able to choose a holiday for me and just enjoy myself.

I would love to tour Great Britain, Canada, the USA and NZ. Asia doesn't interest me and I have done Africa already. I also wouldn't mind a nice island holiday where I can relax and swim up to one of those bar pool things and maybe lie in a hammock with a book for as long as I want. I also would like to go on a cruise just to say that I have been on one. I don't ask for much do I ? LOL

Yes Kate I here you!!

I have been on two holidays were relaxation has been possible with Kids.

One was club med (kids club and cocktails LOL)

The other was an amazing health retreat that I went to on my own this year.

Sounds like you need to do a club med Island holiday! We have thought about a family cruise. But are saving for visiting my family in scotland next year. And DP also wasn't sot detour to Disneyland florida while we are travelling

Oh that sounds perfect- maybe a health retreat WITH cocktails is something I should try and find Wink

Scotland sounds amazing, having the McCulloch last name we have done some vague research into hubby's ancestry and a castle that comes from his heritage, also Heidi who is 8 has been asking lots of questions about the Loch Ness Monster recently lol. I bet that will be an exciting trip for your family!

Morning girls, anyone scrapping for the cc yet? I am keeping an eye on those folders in the cc thread to see the layouts being uploaded!!

We had an early start- my daughter Heidi does gardening club at school and they meet at 8am each Wednesday, so I had to take her there. We have an occupational therapy appointment for Annika at the hospital in 2 hours so I better get us both showered and ready to go!

Have a good day!

I hear you about need a holiday when you return from holidays Kate! You just never get to take that 'mum hat' off, even when your meant to be relaxing and enjoying yourself! Sad

I have scrapped nothing - still need to add the finishing touches to my snow holiday dt page! Sad Emma has tonsilitis and has been very sleepy and clingy, so to say i am exhausted is an understatement! I should be cleaning my house right now, but just don;t have the energy to move my butt from the recliner right now! Sad Hopefullt the antibiotics kick in soon, and she can get back on her feet so i can have a break!

Vicki how is Emma feeling now? Hopefully she is on the mend so you can get some rest as well.

Melt down this morning for preschool, it is absolutely heartbreaking when you have to make your kids do something they don't want to do. Occupational therapy yesterday was an informative session, my child free day will be spent doing more paperwork.

As for scrapping I am heading to a crop day on Sunday so hoping to get something done then Smile
Have a great Thursday!

Haven't managed any scrapping yet so need to make a start.

Holidays before we had the girls were great. We lived in NZ then so used to go to different parts of the country for a week or so.

I went to a retreat overnight earlier this year and will get to do another one in October with my sister. I love those times.

Since we have had the girls, we go away but they are not really holidays. More just a change of scenery but I still have to do the same stuff I do at home. We go to Noosa once a year but as my DH plays golf almost every day it is really not a holiday. We stay with family and it can get a bit much. This year was the worst ever so I have told my DH he may as well just go on a golfing holiday next year and we will stay home as it will be so much less stressful.

We haven't had a holiday for ages now! Since having kids, we wanted to have a beach holiday once a year .... but that hasn't happened for 2 years now. Other things get in the way and $$ get allocated to other needful stuff  Sad

I haven't scrapped anything for this yet either. My little boy has been very ill and had a hospital visit Sad ... he's much better now, but I'm exhausted!!

I am hoping to get some done! Things have been hectic here to say the least. You know when things are so full on that you actually feel really flat and lack energy? I literally feel like a sack of potatoes lol. I most definitely need a holiday! (fitting for this theme!)
