Sorry to be MIA!

Sorry I've not replied sooner about everything that is going on and that I've been MIA....

My Mom had a heart Cath on Thursday of Last week, the heart cath went okay,
but they scheduled her for her surgery for this Friday (August 7) at
7:30 a.m. CST...and I've been running around trying to get lesson plans
done for the first week of school since I will be gone, getting my Marching Band
Camp running for my band, etc....Mom checks in Today (Thursday) by 3:00 for blood
work etc...Her surgery will be a 4 - 6 hour surgery (Replacing the
Mitral Valve with a Pig's valve) and then she'll be in the hospital 5 -
7 days. I will be staying with my father during that time driving him
the 1 1/2 hours to the hospital pretty much everyday until Mom comes
home, then I will be staying with them until the evening of the 23...at
which time the morning of the 24 my niece will come for a week to stay
with my parent...just to make sure they behave themselves....

I
will not be back until at least the 24...but then due to having to take
classes for my certificate recertification, I will be taking 7 graduate
level hours (3 classes) this fall....so I will be busy....I will still
come around, just not as often!

Just wanted to let you all know how everything was and what was going on....and hoping that I could get over being bummed out...as My birthday was also on Monday (3rd) and with everything going on with my Mother...........{sigh}

Oh Linda, I am so sorry to hear that your mum is not well. My thoughts are with her for a speedy recovery. It sounds like it will be a very stressful time for you and your family as well, so I hope you all take care during this difficult time. Am also sorry your birthday wasn't a really happy one, but hope the year ahead is full of happiness for you.

Happy birthday for the 3rd!! Linda I pray that everything goes well with your mum. Enjoy the time with your dad.....its a good opportunity to learn about him and to just chat and have a good time in each others company!! Safe travel on the roads as you drive back and forth!!
