What is everyone reading?

Post by Vicki on Wed Jun 03, 2009 2:09 pm

I never get as much time as I used to when it comes to reading. My library of novels is starting to collect dust, but I am a big fan of patricia cornwell, Lee Childs and Dean Knootz...

When it comes to reading who are your favourite writers?

Right now the most reading I do is care of magazines lol tragic I know!

I haven't got a book on the go at the moment, but I do have 2 waiting in the wings. The first is "My Steve" by Terri Irwin and the second is "Back from the Dead", the story of Peter Hughes, who survived the Bali bombing.

My favourite authors are Paullina Simons, Jacquelyn Mitchard, Nicholas Evans, Tami Hoag and I love Dean Koontz too. Bit of a mixed bag really!

I have one of James Patterson's latest books in progress, these days I waste too much time online to read!

I love Richard Laymon, Terri Gerritsen, Virginia Andrews (the original), Patricia Cornwell and Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha.

Oh and Kathy Reichs - but I don't like the Bones TV show!

Has anyone else read "My Steve" by Terri Irwin? I read it a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was great. I was a big fan of Steve Irwin and found it a great read.
The news of Steve's death was one of those "do you remember where you were when you heard?" moments for me. I will never forget it. I was at work here on the Sunshine Coast when the news first broke on the local radio station. Steve, being a local, was often involved with the station, ringing and giving them surf reports and stuff. I remember the announcer trying to hold it together as he read the news. Everyone at work froze in disbelief.
A few years on, my emotions were still stirred when I read the end of Terri's book...pass the tissues!

I do remember when I heard the news, a coworker told us and we thought he was just doing one of his jokes, I wouldn't believe until someone looked online and then I still wouldn't really believe it until I saw it on the news.
