Hey ladies,

I subbed some things for publication the other day.

Am am very excited as i received an email back saying they want me to send in my OTP project for photographing!

This will be my first time posting anything in for any sort of publication.

The problem is the OTP- is a glass shadow box and i'm worried about posting it without it getting damaged.

Has anyone posted anything like this before for publication???

How do you suggest i package and post it???

I have emailed them saying perhaps i could drop it in instead? But no response yet. I do live about 40 mins away from them- so perhaps that is my best option.

Oh and they ask for a 3 step method! It wasn't exactly a 3 step project. How do you normally break down the method part?

I could type up 3 very long steps? Or just abbreviate to something like:

1: Paint box. Sand box. Insert cardboard backing, pin up fabric back drop.
2. Scrap layout and attach layout to fabric
3. Select, create, paint and alter embellishments. Attach embellishments with 3d foam and glue.

What do you think?

Or and also a big thank you as all the goodies i bought at the craft markets on here. Helped make the box so beautiful.

It has on it:
2 flowers by Becci
Button by Sue
Button by Vicki
Lace flower by Joy
And bottle top by Treens

All such beautiful goodies! Thank you ladies

Love Heart

Woot woot!!! :yeah:
WTG Sarah, how exciting, congrats! Very Happy

As far as packing & posting goes, I would probably take it to the PO and see what they suggest. I have always found them pretty helpful when I am not sure how to pack & post stuff for shipping.

As far as writing up your method, have a look through some copies of mags to get an idea of how they are going to want the instructions. If this still doesn't clear it up for you, just shoot them another email asking for clarification, I am sure they will let you know in more detail.

And how awesome that 5 of us from here can bask in your glory by seeing our little creations used on your work - excitement plus!!! bounce
