Inspiration from Beth: This week's Inspiration is brought to us by Beth Jarrett, showcasing the gorgeous Olivia collection by Basic Grey.

This was definitely for me a much anticipated range! I love Basic Grey and I was excited to be able to work with Olivia!

This week I did 2 very different layouts as I wanted to show the versatility of the range as sometimes you may overlook a range simply because you can't see the potential. I know I am guilty of that!

Firstly I created a bright, bold layout using pink as my background cardstock. The second layout I did was a softer, more shabby layout using my favourite cardstock, kraft, with a fine misting of Chalkboard Mist. I also created a whimsical card.

As I like to do, I set myself a challenge this week. The challenge was to use as many stickers I could from the Element Sticker sheet. This might not seem like a monumental task, but for me it is! I always buy these sticker sheets as I like the look of them, but I fail to use them. Every time.

Here is the first layout, Frown. It shows the fun, fresh and funky side of the range. I just love the sweetness that exudes from the baby banner, which coincidently is from the sticker sheet!

The second layout I created is Hold and it shows a sweeter, more subtle side to the range. I used more earthy tones to create the softer look including some old sheet music which I find is a perfect little compliment to any shabby layout.

Lastly I wanted to use that cute little chicken from the sticker sheet, so I created a more simple card to focus on the sticker.I popped the chicken up on some magic mount to further draw attention to it. This is a birthday card for my neice who has turned one!

Well, looking at my sticker sheet, there is not really alot left on it. I think I fulfilled my challenge to myself this week. I hope these projects have inspired you to look at a range in a different light. Happy scrapping!

These are great projects Beth, with such a gorgeous collection. Thank you.

Check out our "clearance" sections for some great bargains. These are limited to stock in store (ie no rainchecks or back orders) and are on a first come basis.

Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Best regards,

Mary
