We Dare You!! :)

Ok.. so we are doing the FUN dare challenge again!!
Once again with a twist...

The first 4 people to post layout/card criterias will be setting the challenge for US!!! (We will only accept the criteria if it is sensible though, so please choose wisely!) Once again this month, it may be ESPECIALLY wise to choose carefully, as the 4 members who select our criteria will also be required to complete the dare themselves!

Last month we had some challenging criteria:
1. NO flowers/leaves - Nikki
2. 2 Metallic Items - must be tangible - Treens
3. A novelty button - Bec
4. Mirror Item - Danny

ALL members are more than welcome to complete this challenge, whether or not they were one of the "darers". There will be a random RAK up for grabs for someone who completes this challenge and posts it up in the gallery by the 30th September (obviously NOT one of the DT though!)

The criteria for the dare challenge is:
1. Dry embossing - Treens
2. Leaves - Missymoo
3. Purple and green as main colours - Joy
4. Black and white or Sepia photo - Nikki

Yeah, i like that!! And if you don't have an embossing machine, you can place your pp or cs over anything with texture and run a knife or something similiar over it!!

do we actually have to do the embossing ourselves? or can we just use something that is already embossed?

Hehehe- not all of us have cuttlebugs, epics and embossing machines - yet.

LOL! I bought some pretty leaf ribbon at paperific and I cant wait to use it!

Vicki, what about using purple & green for a colour theme, I always find it a tough colour combo, I noticed Sue did a great LO using that colour, it would be a real challenge for me.

LOL, last months turned out to be real easy, but this month i'm not too sure about!!

Hmmm - I am not too sure about this months either....purple and green look good together, but they are certainly not colours I work with a lot and my last attempt at them ended up being disasterous - maybe I can try again with the same photo in B&W like someone suggested when I did the LO the first time around?

ummm one question why is it called dry embossing???

Dry embossing is using a cuttlebug or similiar machine, where you make an imprint in your cs or pp, while wet embossing is using embossing powder and a heat gun! Does that make sense?

LOL i get it!!!!! but to start i did think dry embossing would have been with the powder and NO heat gun (makes more sense to me hahahaha)

Tip for people who dont have the machine to do the job... try cookie cutters pressed onto your sheet (with a towel or soft suface underneath)
i seen my kids do it and they got it to work

Same as me with my first attempt Ant, ended up in the bin. I'm hoping it will be easier with a B/W if not in the bin again
