printing smaller size photos
Hi, was just wondering where you go to, to get smaller photos develpled, (smaller than 6x4, example 4x3 etc) I often see layouts with smaller photos and i have no idea where to get them done. Thanks

Re: printing smaller size photos
I go to a regular Kodak machine and use the index print section. It gives you a few options for smaller sizes. It can be expensive depending on where you go. On the newer kodak kiosks though, it is a little harder to find I just look around for a bit till I find it. If you can't find it, someone there should be able to help. HTH.

My Kmart has new hp photo labs, and they have a choice of 'standard' sized photos, then a section for other sizes, but i found that when you select the wallet size, which i presumed would be 4x3, they were actually about 1cm smaller all around, and i could only print the same picture per a 4x6 print. Where as on the old Kodak machines, you could select 2 different pics to print on one 4x6!!
otherwise you could re-size them smaller at home before you go to print them. You will prob still have to pay the full 4x6 price still, but will have smaller pics, OR, just don't crop your pictures when you go to print them, so then you can cut them down yourself to the size you want!!
Hope that helps!!

Liss, what I do to get smaller sized pics is to edit them on www.picnik.com first using the "collage" function. I usually do 2 on a standard 6x4, coz I dont like pics too small. You will have to play around with the ratios when you do it a bit to make sure they fit right and after you drop the pics in, go into edit and crop to a 6x4 size to make sure they are sized right. Then I just go and get standard 6x4's printed and cut them in half.
I know Camera House prints wallet size pics, but they are quite expensive for what they are so I dont get them done like that.
HTH
PS - I think a lot of people that use smaller sized / odd sized pics, tend to print them at home where you have much more control over what you can and cant do.
