This week's challenge to get your mojo flowing, is to look "outside the square" (or outside the stash, in this case) to find items to use on your layouts that are not considered traditional scrapping items.

Here are a few suggestions to get you started...
- in the stationery supplies (staples, paper clips, bulldog clips, liquid paper, masking tape)
- in the recycling bin (bottle tops, corks, product packaging, aluminium cans)
- in the kitchen cupboards (aluminium foil, patty pans, twist ties, orange / onion bags, cooking twine)
- in the garage (washers, nails, screws, hinges, spray paints, mesh, cable ties)

You will find that as you look more closely at the things around you, you will begin to notice their "scrapping potential". So why not try including a non-scrap item on your next layout? (And don't forget to share your creation with us here!)
Please feel free to also share your suggestions for non-scrap items here with everyone too, you may just inspire someone else! Week 9: Using non-scrap items! Icon_biggrin

OK, after putting this challenge up the other day, it prompted me to use a non-scrap item on one of my LO's, so I used some orange bag on the LO I did for Chantal's random challenge...

So has anyone else been prompted to include any non-scrap items on their LO's yet???

I actually used the exact same non-scrapping item in my latest layout by coincidence! Smile

Week 9: Using non-scrap items! Pictur46

This was waaaaaay out of my comfort zone, I don't normally do bright LO's
I actually tried Chantal's "painting crappy paper" technique as well. Thanks Chantel, great fun
I used bubble wrap, fishing swivels, sandpaper(behind pic) gauze(out of the first aid kit) strips of cardboard(from a box), staples, cooking paper(painted red circle) hession & twill tape(from sewing basket) Smile

I would be in SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH TROUBLE if I used swivels. I might have to go a buy some. Paul would definately be annoyed if I took some of his Week 9: Using non-scrap items! Icon_biggrin Week 9: Using non-scrap items! Affraid
