Re: Daily ramblings
Joy, you had a great night of scrapping, your work looks great in the gallery!
And what did you find at the markets Julie?
Well I hope everyone has had a great day! Very laid back here, except for grocery shopping and a few odd jobs. No scrapping as yet, am saving that for tonight. We have had some really heavy showers here today (nothing like Nth Qld though) and thankfully, it is not as hot as it had been over the last week (so family not as cranky.)

Back to school today for DD. It's her last year of primary school and our last year as a family of primary school (Pretty sad really). We had to go and collect her graduation top yesterday, even though we ordered it before xmas. I think she's looking forward to it. She has the teacher she wanted and all her friends are in the same class. She's gradually getting used to the braces/plate and eating a few more things. DS starts at his new school tomorrow. DH is driving him up there as he couldn't physically carry all the stuff he has. He seems excited about starting there.
Re: Daily ramblings
Oh Judith, what an exciting time for you. I imagine it is sad to see all of your kids growing up right before your eyes. I guess that is the wonderful thing about scrapping, we are recording our memories forever. DS even posed for a photo for me this morning...(he is very excited about starting grade 5) and I think he expects me to scrap it. Have a good day everyone...I am off to playgroup with DD.
Re: Daily ramblings
Hi All! Sorry I've been a little quiet over the past week, it has been sooo hectic here. Madeline started school last week and for some reason I was crashing not long after dinner, and didn't get any scrapping done either The weather has been just awful up here until today, sunny skies. Yay!
Nice to see what everyone has been up to. Anthea, thinking of you and hope things have improved.
Julie, how did the markets go? Find some treasures?!
Judith, enjoy the last year of primary school with DD. I have just started with DD, and then have DS to go through, so many years ahead for us. And I hope DS enjoys his new school also.
Joy, looking forward to seeing some more of your LO's and cards.
And to everyone else, hoping you've been happy and healthy. Can't wait to hear all the news!!!

Re: Daily ramblings
Hope everybody had a good weekend!
My kids started school today too! DD is in Year 10 and DS in Year 12! Can't believe my babies are growing up so fast. I'm a little sad because the house is just so quite today!
DS has got his Learner's Licence now and DH is giving him driving lessons every weekend. It's going to be a tough year for him this year but I now it will just go sooooo fast! Before we know it he will be finished with school and off to Uni!
Hope everybody will be having a great week as things are settling into a routine again.

Yep my gals started again today .....both got teachers that they love, Angela got her teacher from last year and the look of sheer excitment said it all!!! She was positivly ing with joy!! ing around and hugging her teacher!! So nice to see kids that actually want to go to school and are happy!! My girls may never be the highest achievers, but they always try!! Not sure if Uni will be something that they undertake....Maybe Miss Gillian may as she would like to be a teacher!!
Have a great day ladies

That is the key word Marelize, R O U T I N E.
My DS started Yr 4 last Thursday so we are back in the swing of things now.
I am not thrilled with his class, just for a lot of little reasons, so I will see how he goes the next few days and then I might go and see the AP.... trying not to stress about it
Does anyone know why it always rains when school finishes?

Re: Daily ramblings
G'day all! DD1 started Year 2 today. She's got the same teacher too 'cause it's a split class. All the best friends have been split up into three classes, which is for the best - spread the love! I've always been happy with the class arrangements 'cause the teachers put alot of thought into it eg: dynamics etc...
Things are much quieter today!
Hope everyone has a great day!
P.S. No rain over here Julie! Longest dry spell in yonks!

Okay! Today was great! I wrote the above spiel before I saw I one a CC challenge, was crowned Queen of the Crop and guest DT member in March AND my banner was chosen!!!
I usually check in here everyday and I just discovered that I was actually crowned yesterday! At the time of the official crowning, I would of been on a waterslide! DH, DD1 and I were at Adventure World and had such a great time! There are heaps of waterslides "The Tunnel of Terror", 2 Mat Slides, "Rocky Rapids", 2 Power Surge tube slides, 2 Speed Slides, Kiddies Slides, and the Huge Aqua 6 Racer - which is the biggest of it's kind in Australia! We all went on every one of them - DD1 had no fear!!! We also went on almost every ride - there was even a Terminator X interactive laser gun thingy where you run around lasering everyone and ducking for cover - mega fun!!! We had such a great time!!! We left before 9am and got home 8:30pm - I was so stuffed I went straight to sleep!!! Little did I know I was crowned!!! LOL!
Plus DD1 had a great 1st day at school - and she's stoked with being back at school - which is really great to hear!
Okay, I think I'll be off to bed now!

LMAO Kathie!!!
It will be a few years in our house before school is in for my DD (although I must admit there are days I wish it would come soon...LOL)
So glad to hear that everyone got the kids back with a minimum of fuss, usually they are not too unhappy to go back after such a long break, but it might not be so easy getting them there once the novelty starts to wear off again...

Re: Daily ramblings
Went back to work today. Found out we're moving offices in April. We had planned on doing a review of all the library materials over the whole year but now it has to be done in 8 weeks, so I will be working some extra hours. Great for the education budget but not so good for my scrapping.
BTW DS enjoyed his first and second days at his new school so things are looking good at the moment.

Great news about DS Judith - hopefully this is a much happier year for him!
Nothing new to report here for me, although DD is talking sooooo much and now tells me to "tum ere" (come here) and then asks for a "diss" (kiss)...so funny!!!

Re: Daily ramblings
Hi all, my babies, DS (almost 3) and DD (13mths), started their first almost full day at creche. It should have been a full day but I made DH stay home with them until 11am so I could leave work in my break and meet him there. Yes I am a sook when it comes to my babies. DS was so good, he ran off without so much as a goodbye, unlike last week when he went for 2 hrs and cried when I left. Yes I did too, when I went out to the car. Anyway DD had a little cry but stopped when we walked out. When I went to pick them up DS didn't want to come home, I wasn't feeling the love! I went to get DD and was in her room for a few minutes before she notice me. She was happily jumping on the mini trampoline when she recognised my voice and turned around and let out this almighty cry. Anyway they both had a fantastic day and I felt at ease knowing that. I still might make DH do the drop offs for a while until they are really used to it, I can't go into work crying all the time

Well, Chantal, i finally did it!! We went and saw AVATAR today!! It was really cool!! I would love to see it in 3D now!! The almost 3hrs flew by and DH didn't want it to end, and as soon as we walked out he said he wanted to see it again!!
Billie - suck it up you sook!!! You need to cut those mummy strings so you can come and scrap with me!! LMAO!! (Don't worry folks, she is my cousin and she will laugh at that!! )
Julie - Woohoo over 600 posts!! Top effort!! I was so excited not long ago when i cracked 2000, and look at me now!! I think i talk too much, although i know playing the games and quizzes does help get the numbers up quickly!! I was trying to catch Sue's tally, so i played them flat out when she was off line late last year!! LOL!!

Yay Vicki!!! You did it!!! I'm soooo happy!!!
Was it me that helped you turn to the blue side?
DH and I are really excited to see it again...
We are going to see it in 3D at IMAX 8:30pm, Friday! Choc tops and all! No other movie has given me the experience that AVATAR has given me! I've just watched the trailer on the Hoyts website! Love it!!!
