The rich autumn browns, blues and gold are so warm! But its the texture of these papers that make them so outstanding, each sheet(except the die cut ones) are either flocked with soft touch velvet flocking or metallic enameling, you just don't want to cover it up! But the good thing about this paper is it looks even better with your photos! I also used the linen die-cuts; not your average die cut these are purpose designed pockets for journalling with mix and match trims, wrap around belts and charms. This range is certainly worth a look at!
Ding DongsThis is an A4 sized double, i drew inspiration from a Becky Fleck Sketch,[/i]]http://www.pagemaps.com/oct09maps.htm. Here I used the Sanov paper and Bavory Papers both velvet flocked these add lovely warm texture to the layout. This layout also features one of the Linen Die-cut pockets. I made a 'fake' journalling pocket. the journal card looks like it moves up and down but in fact it is adhered direct to the page, this gives me the look of journalling in a pocket but without the fuss of having to take it in and out of the pocket. Family: Mum and JohnThis one features two of the prettiest papers in this range the diecut Vevcie and flocked Katerina. I cut the larger floral designs from the Katerina and created a large cluster behind the photo topped with the flower from the Linen die-cut pack. Notice the design balance here, the photo is to the bottom while the cluster takes the centre of the page. This is because i find the 'heaviest' design feature is most balanced in the middle of the page, this cluster is the "heaviest' so needs to be in the middle for my tastes. To figure out the 'heaviest' part of your design close your eyes then open them again the first thing your eyes are drawn to are the "heaviest " part. i cut the rub on into strips and applied along the lines of the journaling spot. BampaI love working with papers within the same collection but sometimes you find that something from your range would complement another beautifully. In this layout i have used the Lisen Paper and corners and cherished one slide from the Sei range and mixed it with papers from Websters Postcards from Paris range.
The pale blues complement the Sei paper and the vintage style hot air balloons, from Websters add a masculine touch to a primarily feminine page a nice combination for this grandfather and granddaughter page.
