A DUSTY day!!!

The dust storm also made it's way up to SE Qld and left us (and everything in its path) coated in a layer of dust....yuck! We could see it coming on the horizon up here on the Sunshine Coast, and by early afternoon the strong winds had blown it right in. It was very eerie ...

Very saddened to hear of the death of Patrick Swayze after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Dirty Dancing will always be one of my all-time favourite movies (I saw it 3 times at the cinema), I was soooo in love with him when that movie came out...he was HOT, HOT, HOT!!! I think there were many of us that wanted to be Patrick's "Baby".

Michael Jackson

I am not normally a person to be fanatical about things but this time is an exception. As a huge fan of Michael Jackson I am so so very sad that he is no longer with us. From a young age I have listened to his music probably on a daily basis. I don't care about his wackiness or the other things were said about him. I just honestly believe that without his music my life wouldn't be the same, such happy memories. His music is always played at every family gathereing and my friends can always count ...

I watched both shows on channel nine and have to say that Underbelly Series 1 was, in my opinion, far more entertaining...for some reason I just couldn't get into the second series.

Any other members watch either or both series?

OK, I guess somebody had to bring it up - The Chaser's latest outrage. It was screened on the ABC the other night and featured a skit that was poking fun of the Make a Wish Foundation, who grant wishes to terminally ill children. For those of you that haven't seen or heard about it, they were promoting the "Make a Realistic Wish Foundation", saying that you shouldn't spend too much money on the kids because they "are going to die anyway".

I used to be a fan of The Chaser, ...

What are your thoughts about this flu? One minute they tell you not to worry than before you know it over 400 cases have been diagnosed. I don't know, I guess it can't be too bad if they just tell you to go home and don't go anywhere?

Would you help?

I saw a story on Sunrise this morning where they were talking about a guy that went to help someone who was being bashed. He stepped in and helped, then walked away, thinking that was the end of it. A while later the 2 guys involved tracked him down and killed him.
Obviously, this doesn't occur often, but it makes you think.
If you saw someone that needed help, would you step in and help them?
And would you teach your kids to step in and help someone?
