This week's question is all about techniques...

What are your most and least favourite techniques to incorporate into your scrapping?

Do you enjoy technique-based challenges?

Do you try new techniques very often?

Where do you get your inspiration / information about new techniques from?

Do you have any techniques you would like to learn more about?

Remember you can share any tips or techniques you know on our "Tips & Techniques" area of the forum. Similarly, ...

This week's question is all about stamps...

What kind of stamps do you prefer to use? (Clear, rubber, foam? Mounted or unmounted?)

Do you have a preferred brand or style that you favour?

Do you have lots or only a few?

How do you store them?

We want to hear all about your stamp stash, and please feel free to share images or details of any of your favourites...

Instead of posting a scrap question each day, I am now going to post one at the beginning of each week. This is so that everyone has a chance to answer it and there aren't so many to catch up on for people that don't get to visit as regularly.

As always, if there is a scrap question you would like to put to our members, or you would like to suggest a theme, just PM me and I am happy to include it for you!

This has probably been asked before, but i really need to know....

How do you sort/store your flowers?

Mine are all in a plastic tub in the bags i have bought them in, so some bags are multi sized/multi coloured and it just looks like a jumbled mess. I am tossing up between sorting by colour or by size, but aren't sure which way would be better and more efficient in the long run. I also have limited space so was wondering what the best way to store them is!!

Have you ever found inspiration for a layout from a non-scrapping source?

(Eg, advertisement, sign, interior design, clothing, nature, etc)

Although we are surrounded by a wealth of sources that could inspire us, I don't consciously use them to inspire my LO's. Perhaps I should be looking more closely at things!

Have you participated in any online classes? What were they for? Tell us about it!

The only online class I have taken part in was Renee Dowling's fantastic Christmas card class here last month. (I have only made 1 card so far though ) I am really looking forward to Charmane's class tonight!

When you scrap, do you always finish what you are working on before you start something else? Or do you often have more than one project happening at the same time?

I always wonder what other people do! I am totally unable to start another project until I have finished the one I am working on. (This includes completely tidying my scrap area after every LO too.)

What sort of camera do you have?

I have a Canon Ixus 65 which I have had for a couple of years now. Its a fairly simple camera, but the quality of shots (and video) it takes is pretty good.
Mine are foam mounting tape (been using this quite a bit lately), red cardstock (been using this too) and a gold pen (I could have used one of these a few times over the last week!)

From a member...

Do you shop with a budget in mind? If so, is it difficult to keep to your budget?

As we are a single income family, I most definitely have to shop to a (very tight) budget! And YES, it is very difficult! I find the easiest way to keep to it, is to wait to buy items on sale or just stay away from the shops...

Another question from one of our members...

When it comes to supplies, do you use mainly one brand or different brands?

I have to admit I am a Kaiser addict. So I would definitely use more of that than anything. (Especially because I not only use the pps, but embellishments and stamps as well.)

Another question from a member...

Do you have a circle cutter? If so, what sorts of things do you use it for?

(Making embellishments / photo mats / cutting photos, etc). What ideas do you have that you can pass on?

I don't have a circle cutter, but I'll keep an eye on this for some great ideas...I might just need one then!

I was prompted to ask this question by another member who had been wondering about this topic...

When scrapping at night (or in poor light), what do you find is the best light set-up to use? (Fluro / halogen / lamp / overhead?)

I do most of my scrapping at night and I use 2 lights. The overhead light in my room, as well as a desk lamp with a white light energy saving globe in it.

(I am also curious to know what others find the best set-up - great question!)

If you're anything like me, you often develop a favourite technique or embellishment that you use for a few LO's in a row...

What is your favourite technique or embellishment you are using on your LO's right now?

Mine would have to be layering using foam mounting tape. I seem to be having a little run of it at the moment!
